JYJ’s XIA Junsu completed his hugely successful, 100 day long Asia Tour at Yokohama Arena yesterday.
CJES Entertainment stated, ‘XIA Junsu enthusiastically performed his last stage at the Yokohama Arena last night and finished the journey of his second album’s Asia Tour. Since July, XIA Junsu met 100,000 fans in seven cities, including Bangkok, Shanghai and cities in Japan.”
They continued, “At the Asia Tour finale concerts in Japan, XIA Junsu showed a wide variety of stages with a concentration on songs featured in his first and second albums, performing stages from dance to hip hop to ballads. For approximately 60,000 Japanese fans, he added ‘Minna Sora no Shita’ and ‘Tsubomi’. Additionally, he successfully completed a concert in Sydney as the first male idol singer to do so and appeared on a program on Australian network, SBS, achieving a new accomplishment.”
A Japanese representative stated, “Following his first solo album, XIA Junsu’s performances have once again transformed. He controlled the stage with flawless lives of over 10 dance songs and moved those present with his explosive vocal ability during 10 ballad songs. He satisfied fans and delivered perfect dance stages and high-quality lives, causing a shortage of tickets in every city. Especially, the energy of the audience exploded at every concert when the title song of XIA Junsu’s second album, ‘Incredible’, was performed, making the venue shake.”
XIA Junsu expressed his feelings, stating “I am deeply touched by my fans and I am very thankful. My supportive fans are the driving force for me to make music. They give me tons of encouragement at every moment and they are the motivation for me to make better music. At every city, they organized events for me and they were lovely sights to see.”
Audience member Masaki said, “I went to Seoul to watch XIA’s first concert and I saw his final concert today in Yokohama. His performances are so magnificent so I am moved by every concert and they create lasting images in my mind. His dancing is very sexy and his lives are perfect to the point that it is impossible to explain.” Another audience member Saori stated, “Junsu said he came to meet us while singing ‘Tsubomi’. Ainikimashida (I came to see you). I am very happy to have been here for his memorable, first solo tour in Japan.”
The stage director of XIA’s Asia Tour gave him a big thumbs up. “I really respect his sense of responsibility for his own stages as an artist. Without care about his condition, he strived to show his best to the fans who came to see him and he was very thorough at every rehearsal. I worked with many Korean artists for a long time but Junsu is special. His sincerely moved all the staff members and everyone strived for the best result.”
The response from international fans was also amazing. Fans from the Americas and Europe, who were unable to personally see the concerts, sent flower wreaths to each concert and uploaded self-made support videos to YouTube. Additionally, some fans travelled to China, Seoul and Japan to see the concerts in person.
After finishing his 100 day long activities for his second album, he will begin rehearsing for the musical ‘December’, which will be shown at Sejong Cultural Center, as soon as he returns to Korea.
