Taking home another prize, JYJ’s Kim Junsu proved his standing as a hot star in the musical world.
On October 7, the 19th Annual Korean Musical Awards took place at the Kyunghee University Peace Hall, where Kim Junsu took home the Popular Star Award. This recent award makes it the fourth time in a row that Kim Junsu was given this award ever since his musical debut.
Wearing a white suit, Kim Junsu thanked the audience, saying, “I came to present the Best Actor Award but I’m very happy to receive this award.”
Remembering the audience members that always made his shows sold out, Kim Junsu added, “I always say this, but I believe that I’m receiving this award because of the power of the audience.”
Other stars who also received the Popular Star Awards also mentioned Kim Junsu, raising attention.
Cho Seung woo said, “I didn’t know I would receive this award. I’m thankful to receive this award with Junsu.” Also receiving the award, Ock Joo Hyun said, “Because Junsu came into the musical world, the participation in voting at a musical awards has become very active. Junsu, thank you.”
Meanwhile, the Best Actor and Actress Awards went to Les Miserables’s Jung Sung Hwa and Aida’s Jung Sun Ah.
